Learning Experiences

In Literacy this week the students have continued to build an understanding of water, our waterways and the issues affecting them.  Freshwater macroinvertebrates are one tool scientists use to measure water quality.  Using the Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre’s online identification guide the students identified key information about different species and what this means about a river’s health.

By responding to an explanation text the students built their understanding of land degradation.

Our grammar focus was clauses and how they convey meaning.

Spelling investigations and the development of independent writing pieces are ongoing focuses.
